Managing Your Health Savings Account
Accessing your Health Savings Account online is very easy through the Wells Fargo website. Simply visit their home page and you will find helpful HSA information, including an educational overview, an online presentation, access to important documents, and HSA links. By selecting HSA Account Activity, under the HSA Activity/Balances column, you will be directed to a login page, which requires entry of your social security (or ID number), followed by your PIN (personal identification number). The PIN will have been included in a confirmation letter that you received from Wells Fargo. If you have any problems logging in, please phone Wells Fargo at 1-800-473-0926. Once registered, you will have instant account access to:
Claims Information - View claims information, including pending and processed transactions. Information provided is updated at the close of each business day, excluding weekends and holidays.
Account Balances - View current account balances. For additional assistance, phone 1-866-890-8309 for toll-free customer service.
Using Your HSA Funds
To pay for a variety of healthcare-related expenses, ranging from routine physicals to prescription drugs, simply present your HSA debit card to the provider and money will be deducted directly from your Health Savings Account. You may also submit a reimbursement request via mail or fax to receive reimbursement. If you have enrolled in “Direct Deposit” and request reimbursement, this money will be deposited directly into your regular bank account.
Online Health Resources
You will need the proper tools to assist with making the right health decisions. On the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan website, a variety of tools and links are available for members to access valuable health information. By selecting I am a Member, you will have access to options, such as Manage Your Coverage, Manage Your Health, Manage Your Claims and Find a Participating Provider. The Healthcare AdvisorTM - allows you to research and compare drug treatment options, select a physician using criteria that is important to you, compare hospitals, and research the cost of common health care services. *Login Is Required For Access.
Coverage AdvisorTM - helps you consider the health care services you and your family are likely to need, allows you to estimate the costs for those services, and allows you to forecast out-of-pocket costs under various scenarios.
BlueHealthConnection - provides a variety of online health resources including Health News, Drug Guide and Interaction Checker, Medical Encyclopedia, Health Risk Appraisals, Personal Health Records, Health Calculator, online quizzes, a drug guide and more. *Login Is Required For Access.
*For LOG IN ACCESS to The Healthcare Advisor and BlueHealthConnection, first time users must select Register on the Member Secured Services Login page to set up a User ID and password. After initial registration, personalized information is available to you by simply logging in.
For additional web tools, Family Health Budget is another online site that assists in predicting healthcare spending.
